Salman Khan’s Sultan earns Rs 500 crore in total but won’t beat Aamir Khan’s PK

This makes it the fifth highest grossing Bollywood film ever. Dhoom 3 (Rs 542 crore), Baahubali (Rs 600 crore), Bajrangi Bhaijaan (Rs 626 crore) and PK Rs 792 crore), in that order, are the other biggies that stand at the top spot.

Salman khan’s Sultan has crossed another rubicon: The film has earned Rs 500 crore at the international box office and it is still going strong.

While trade is positive that Sultan would be able to breach Dhoom 3, Baahubali and Bajrangi Bhaijaan’s record, the Ali Abbas Zafar directorial is not expected to move past Aamir Khan’s PK.

At the domestic box office, the Salman and anushka Sharma film has earned Rs 267.31 crore till now. With Monday’s earnings at Rs 4.08 crore, the film is still going strong.

With Rajinikanth’s Kabali and Irrfan Khan’s Madaari releasing this Friday, Sultan’s business will definitely get affected. The Salman film managed an uninterrupted run since its release on July 6 with the only release being Great Grand Masti since them.

The sex comedy, which also leaked online before its release, was no match for the Salman juggernaut.
